Mitchell Barkley, born in Switzerland in 1974, grew up in an idyllic village in the canton of Bern, which forms a close-knit community with just under 600 inhabitants. His talent for craftsmanship became apparent at an early age, leading him to an apprenticeship as a metalworker, which he successfully completed. But Barkley was never one to rest on his laurels. Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge, he attended various computer schools over the years and obtained several certificates. He also passed the one-year business school with flying colors. He discovered his passion for reading through the works of Simon Beckett, Dan Brown and Tom Clancy. These authors sparked in him the desire to write exciting stories himself. In 2020, he fulfilled this dream and published his first book, 'Blood Fight - Revenge of the Seals', inspired by Clancy's masterful stories. This was followed just a year later by the gripping triller 'Blood', in which Barkley tells a gripping story about a personality disorder. His next work, 'The Dungeon', marked the beginning of a successful series featuring the charismatic investigative duo Superintendent Gavin MacArthur and Susette Dubois, which quickly found a loyal readership. With his latest book, the third installment in the MacArthur series - 'The Black Rose', Barkley once again takes his readers on a breathtaking journey full of suspense and unexpected twists and turns.
