As an author and journalist, Martina Ramigé has not only supported numerous productions by Japanese TV stations. Together with her partner, Jean-Claude Ramigé, she has also produced many documentaries worldwide on the subject of "Children in Need" as well as educational films for street children in Haiti on behalf of UNESCO.
Dogs, in her case herding dogs, have been family members of the nature-loving and exercise-loving author for 36 years. From her own experience, she knows all too well that these four-legged companions are the best therapists on four paws, and she would like to share this knowledge with others. JOY is a female sheep poodle. These healthy, robust dogs, which weigh 17-25 kg, are extremely versatile - whether as loyal, child-loving family dogs, as therapy dogs or as sheep herders. Their intelligence and their enthusiasm for dog sports such as mantrailing make them real super sniffer dogs. Hiking with endurance, sniffing and courageous climbing skills are part of their hobbies and also qualify them as rescue dogs. But they can just as easily chill out or serve as "home office companions".
Under their beautiful coat, sheep poodles are slim and agile, which enables them to accelerate at lightning speed or hop through the woods like a hare. With sufficient exercise and loving, consistent training, they quickly become loyal and cheerful companions. Caution: Clever and eager to learn, they also like to go their own way when their human companions don't have a "plan".
