Description

Now that Mirjam has become the new face of the leading cat food brand Schulze-Rank, she is struggling to juggle all her commitments. She rushes from appointment to appointment, trying not to disappoint anyone. But her private life falls by the wayside. Until one day the hot Lucas crosses her path and completely confuses her.

She was so focused that she almost ran over the giant that suddenly stood in her way. "Oops, young lady, watch out!" Mirjam put her head back and looked for the face of the human wall she had just run into. "Sorry, I didn't mean to!" she managed to get out. It took her a few seconds to make out the face because the sun was blinding her. She liked what she saw - very much so. Brown, tousled hair and a well-groomed three-day beard smiled at her. Unfortunately, she couldn't see his eyes because, like her, he was wearing sunglasses. "No problem!" His voice was deep and warm - a small shiver came over her. His smile intensified and he tilted his head slightly, waiting for her reaction. OMG, I'm staring at him, she realized and woke up from her stupor. "Sorry, I didn't see you," she said again and tried to take a step to the side, but even then another person bumped into her. Damn, she was in the middle of a crowd of people gathered around a beer cart trying to get a drink. "Again, no problem at all. It's just super crowded and no harm done." Mirjam smiled gratefully at him. "Lucas," said her counterpart and offered her his right hand. "Are you here alone?" "Mirjam, hi! No, I'm looking for my friends. They should be further back by the pond." "Shall I clear a path for you?" asked Lucas. He still had his glasses on, which annoyed her. She wanted to see his eyes. Not that she'd taken hers off, but still. "Uh, no, it's fine. I can manage." "Okay. You look familiar. Do we know each other somehow?" "Oh well, that's an original line..." she replied and now she was really annoyed. Why did these guys always have to be so stupid? A simple, it was nice, maybe we'll have a beer together sometime, would be enough. But he just laughed - very loudly and at the top of his lungs. "No, sweetheart, that's not what I meant. Seriously, are you famous or something? I know you!" Sweetheart? He couldn't have been serious ... What did this man think he was doing?
