Description
During an intensive study of Greek mythology, he wrote a series of poems on this subject. Some of them appeared in the book 'Kastor's Roses'. This includes 'Kalypso'. The poem has now been published as an e-book with illustrations. The story of Calypso comes from the tales of Odysseus and his wanderings. He was stranded more than once. The story holds that Malta is the island where Odysseus was shipwrecked and met the nymph Calypso. During a vacation on Malta, the author visited the coast and the place known as the 'Grotto of Calypso' in order to work on the hexameter poem. The result is her own interpretation of the story of Calypso in verse.
