Harald Dastis was born on 17.1.1952 in Darmstadt. 1972- 79 Studied German and Romance languages and literature at the University of Saarbrücken, Heidelberg, Paris and Reims. The poet and painter has lived in France since 1975.
In 1977 and 1979, the English Songs emerged as if from an outpouring of fire. In these songs, the joy that surges down, the all-pervading love, the jubilant voices of the unspeakable proclaim the arrival of the all-transforming light, the dawning of new heavens and earths, whose promising and accomplishing messenger is the angel of the sun.
