She can be more than just the quirky secretary. Mirjam keeps LBM Marketing running and takes care of everything in the background. Secretly, however, she dreams of her big break. Will the day come when she can be more than just a secretary?
Reading sample "Oh no, oh no, oh no ... this can't be true." Sometimes I'm such a sucker, Mirjam thought to herself as she looked at the mess she had made. She had just got herself a fresh coffee and had actually managed to sneeze so much when she sat down that she had spilt it on the presentation she had just printed out for the meeting. Everything was ruined ... something like that could only happen to her. Her boss would kill her. Sabine was actually a very sociable person and they got on really well, but ever since this Finn guy tried to get to her, she was constantly on edge. Which meant that Mirjam could either get an annoyed roll of the eyes or Sabine would laugh at her loudly and tease her until the day she died. Neither was an option. Luckily, she was a fox and had printed out the material several times. If she hurried, no one would notice. Sometimes she didn't understand her boss; she was always up to date, totally obsessed with her Apple devices - everything had a name and regularly got a new cover - or clothes, as Sabine called it - but when it came to presentations, she was old-fashioned. She always needed everything on paper so that she could go through it with the client in peace and take notes. With her pencil, mind you, which she was constantly looking for. At least once a day, Mirjam had to point out to her that it was stuck in her hair as usual. But well, they both had their quirks, which is probably why they got on so well together.
